Yorkshire Sculpture Park is home to world-class sculptures set across 500 acres of parkland, woodland and lakes, with something new to discover around every corner. Families can follow fun sculpture trails and pick up activity sheets that turn exploring the park into an adventure, helping to keep children engaged as they walk. Younger visitors will enjoy discovering the Little Wild Wood natural play area, while the wide open spaces provide plenty of room to run, explore and let off steam.

Visitors can take their time strolling around the lakes, spotting wildlife and enjoying seasonal family trails and forest-based activities. At busier times of the year, creative workshops and drop-in sessions offer children the chance to get hands-on with making their own art, inspired by the sculptures around them.

As well as discovering sculptures outdoors, visitors can explore Yorkshire Sculpture Park’s indoor galleries, which host ever-changing exhibitions from leading local, UK and international artists, offering plenty to inspire curiosity and conversation.

The day also includes afternoon tea served in one of the park’s cafés. Featuring freshly prepared sandwiches, sweet treats and delicious desserts, it can be enjoyed alongside panoramic views from The Kitchen Café balcony.
