The award-winning Smoke & Fire Festival is the ultimate BBQ celebration, returning to Essex this 15-16 August. Situated at Maldon’s Promenade Park, it’s set for its biggest year yet, celebrating 10 years of live-fire cooking, incredible food and unforgettable entertainment.

Known as the UK’s largest BBQ and outdoor cooking festival, Smoke & Fire Festival brings together top chefs, pitmasters and food lovers for a weekend packed with award-winning street food, live-fire cooking demonstrations, craft drinks and entertainment for all ages.

This year’s festival features exciting new experiences including the launch of Festival BBQ School – a hands-on workshop experience where visitors can learn directly from professional pitmasters and butchers – plus the thrilling European Butcher Wars competition, showcasing some of the best butchers from across the UK and Europe.

Returning favourites include the British Open Freestyle BBQ Championships™, where elite BBQ teams battle it out for a place at the BBQ World Cup in Las Vegas, plus the fiery Hot Wings and Hot Chilli eating challenges.

Visitors can also enjoy the Ember Lounge Sessions hosted by award-winning live-fire chef James Peck, alongside legendary Māori chef Matt Burgess (AKA Mat Blak), offering an exclusive VIP dining experience featuring specially curated menus from internationally renowned fire chefs.
