PlantGrow is the first company in the UK to produce a garden range made entirely from plants, providing environmentally friendly solutions for gardens and allotments. The naturally produced base material, PlantGrow fibre, is made from a blend of grasses and maize within a 40-mile radius of their head office in Norfolk.

Incorporating organic material in a compost blend achieves a certain level of beneficial results, notably for structure and plant health, but an additional mulch of two inches during the summer or dry periods can help dramatically. The technique is simple, as the soil surface will remain moist and soil evaporation is significantly decreased, meaning your plants have a softer medium to grow.

Award-winning PlantGrow Organic Mulch feeds the soil every time it rains or when it is watered due to the natural bacteria and nutrients within the product.  The top of the mulch will form a crusty surface which is normal, as this means one inch below is moist which will help to achieve sustained growth. Worms will be encouraged to come up and slowly take the mulch into the soil, this can be important to gardeners who have either sandy or clay soils.

This year, Martin Fish, RHS judge and plant committee chairman has recommended PlantGrow products at national garden shows. PlantGrow has also been awarded Sustainable Product of the Year 2024 by the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers®.

Winners of the competition will get a full pallet of 40 mulch or compost bags, 50 litres each, which can also be mix and matched to make up the 40 bags. The prize also includes 10 litres of PlantGrow Organic Liquid.
